Offsets workshop a success…

Earthtrade’s Alan Key was invited to participate in an offsets workshop at ANU Canberra in early 2015. Held at the Fenner School of Environment and Society, and organised by Megan Evans (ANU), Stuart Whitten (CSIRO), Andrew Macintosh (ANU) and Martine Maron (UQ), the overall goal of the workshop was to look at biodiversity offsetting from a range of different perspectives, and to try and understand how such policies can effectively deliver positive environmental outcomes. An article summarising the workshop and its outcomes has been published by Megan Evans (ANU) as the lead editorial in a special themed issue of Decision Point magazine and is available at http://decision-point.com.au/?article=offsetting-in-the-context-of-policy
